Fingerprints and Amendment

1/20/12
Today Tony took Blaine for his fingerprints! And I mailed our amendment off! Woo-hoo one more thing out of the way! Yesterday I called the USCIS office and she was able email us Blaine's fingerprint appointment card. His appointment wasn't until Feb.16th but Tony took him this morning and they took him early. They are really really nice at the Nashville office! So I think that is the last step to everything they needed for Blaine! We are waiting on our NVC letter, hoping it will come any day now! And then our article 5 and then travel! I almost think I can see the light! We have some great friends and family that are planning us a shower and I think we have the girls room ready! Now all we need is our little princess! So many people have ask about her lately, I love telling our story and planting more seeds! Tony even got to tell our story today! It so warms my heart to hear him talk about her and tell people about adoption! Man he has come alongggg way! But boy is he on board now! I definitely think he would tell anyone to just listen and trust their heart! He is very ready our sweet girl!
Conner and Allie have both started ball and all the parents are so excited for us and ready to welcome a new little cheerleader to the group.
Thanks for all the prayers and keep them coming!

Registering for Goodies

January 7, 2012
Today was a fun day!!!!!  Tony, Allie and I went shopping to register for the baby shower!!!! I have some GREAT friends that are going to give us a shower next month!   It was so much fun to go see all those sweet clothes like Allie use to wear  and to see all the new "gadgets" that are out there!!!  We are having to guess on her size, we think she will be wearing an 18 months right now and will need a 24 months this summer and fall!!!  We went to Itty Bitty and Target today and picked some really cute clothes and all the necessities except a stroller!  So we still need to pick that!!!  There is a clothing line called "Tea", it is really cute and I think since Emery is from China and it is known for tea that this will be a great line for her!  Cute cute stuff!  I can't wait to dress that sweet girl in some cute clothes and bows!!!!!
I will keep you posted on the next step!!!!

Ups and Downs

January 6, 2011
Well today brought us good and bad news!  We received and email that our I800A was being processed and that we should have it in the next couple of days.  However, since Blaine would be turning 18 before we go to get Emery he is going to have to have a background check, fingerprints completed and an amendment to our home study.  These things take a little time!!!  So I of course had a complete "meltdown!!!"  I was so upset, I called our agency, our homestudy lady and the homeland security person that sent the email!  Fortunately everyone that I talked to was so helpful and kind and told me exactly what to do to get things moving quickly!  It doesn't look like this will slow our process down, thankfully!!!  I was told back in the beginning of this process to be prepared for Satan to try and put obstacles in front of us and to just go ahead and proclaim that it was Satan and that he wouldn't win!!!! So that is the attitude that we have had and he will not win, we won't let anything get in front of us!!!!  We will bring that sweet princess home!!!!  So as of right now I have filled out all the paperwork and have everything moving forward.  The lady at the TBI(Lydia) was wonderful and put a rush on the background check and the homeland security lady(Ms. Wilson) has told me exactly what to do to get all the paperwork in and processed.  So now we are waiting for the appointment for Blaine's fingerprints and then we will be able to finish up this process.  I know God has a plan and we have to trust his timing on everything!!!!  But we are getting really anxious and ready to Bring Emery home!!
I will keep you posted on the next step!
Thanks for all the prayers and support!

Finally, An Update

January 4th, 2012
We received an email with an update on Emery today!  Tony called and said he thought we had an update and forwarded it to me.  We couldn't get it opened fast enough!  She has grown and changed so much!  She is not a baby anymore, she looks like a big girl now!  The update told us that she had been moved to a foster family about 4 months ago and that there is a big brother there.  We hope this will help her adjust to our family here when we get her!  It also told us that she and walk and run, she is talking some, she has received atleast one of our packages and that she is a bit stubborn!  It seems that she is a good eater and a good sleeper, we hope and pray that will continue when we get her!  The medical info we received says that she is 30 1/2 inches tall and weighs 27 lbs.  Our pediatrician/friend put her on the growth chart and says she is a bit of a "chub", LOL!!!!  Her head and height are in the 20th percential but her weight is in the 60th!  Of course we won't know how accurate everything is until we get her home!  It also told us that she has 6 teeth!!!!  And says that she is healthy!!!!  We feel so blessed and excited to be getting this precious baby girl!  The paperwork also told us that the foster family calls her "little bean", like we say "little pumpkin", they call her "Little Bean."
Please keep us in your prayers as we get closer to getting our sweet girl home!
Love,
Renee

Doesn't she look just like a "Little Bean"!!!!!!!!!
